Watson Realty (www.etc) began operations as a small family owned business in 1976 in Piedmont, MO. Our first office was in our home on Poplar Street. In 1980 we opened a small office in the rear of Coleman's Barber Shop on Main and Green streets. Carolyn Watson has been the broker of record from the beginning and her husband Gaylon has been the Chief Listing Agent and Salesman. Gaylon Watson got his Missouri Real Estate Sales license in 1964 while serving as General Manager of KSIM Radio at Portageville, Missouri.

Since starting operations in 1976, Watson Realty has listed 1,005 properties and closed on approximately 40% of those listed. Properties included single family homes, farms, recreational, commercial and timber land. Because of Gaylon's broadcasting background much of the early advertising was done on local radio stations. Watson Realty was the first in this market to print and distribute a catalog of listings. This web page is our first attempt to reach buyers and sellers via the internet. After becoming somewhat inactive in recent years while Gaylon served as Mayor of Piedmont, we hope to rebuild our real estate business with this world wide web vehicle.
